Michele Boek - Bio
My name is Michele Boek, and I would like the opportunity to run for the Vienna Square HOA Board for another year.
This past year on the HOA Board has taught me more than my entire 40 years in healthcare as a professional and handling issues professionally on a daily basis.
This job takes a lot of time away from my professional job but has allowed me to get to know each of you on a personal level.
My entire life, I have always been the giver, the one who listens, and the one who does for others without thinking. My professional life has always consumed me because I put my whole heart and soul into a day's work.
I enjoy working with people who have respect for others and take responsibility for their actions and decisions. I also enjoy those moments when I can help others to achieve their goals and help them by making sure they have the best opportunity to succeed.
My career in healthcare started at a young age when my skills got noticed, and I was able to make a difference in the way I handled many different situations.
I was able to climb the corporate ladder in many leadership roles and teach others how to perform their duties at a higher level of quality.
My career continues to be very rewarding as I have been able to build a team from scratch multiple times and teach them how to manage and work with a quality-driven mindset.
Over the years, I have managed from 12 to over 100 people in an office setting.
Dealing with the multiple ways that people learn and taking into consideration every type of learning format is something I am passionate about.
For my current role as secretary: To some, being a secretary is just a job, but to those who have worked in this field, know it's more of a coordinator of many different types of project management opportunities.
I hope you will give me the opportunity to serve one more year.
My career has been in leadership, director, administration, management, contracting, building provider networks across the state of Florida, building and training quality management teams, building computer programs that work for the physicians in many different fields, chronic care management, working with teens at my church and in the community, working with senior population programs, problem-solving, training physicians to achieve successful patient experience and understanding of the many demanding complex goals of the Medicare system, and maintaining my own patience in dealing with issues that may be out of my control.
These are just a few things that I have done over my entire life.
I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend
but most of all, I am a person.
